Head of Membership


This full-time role within the BVCA is an excellent career choice for an experienced business development / client relationship individual with an interest in private equity and venture capital. The role is based in London and will include travel within the UK. Your primary responsibilities will be the Development and execution of the Membership Engagement, Retention and Recruitment strategy, to meet and exceed membership revenue targets, and identify and pass on sales opportunities to the events and training teams. You will need to meet with existing and potential members as well as network with key stakeholders to represent the BVCA and its work, including at meetings, conferences, and events. In addition you will support the co-ordination of members’ input into external stakeholder engagement and to lead the BVCA’s regional engagement plan.

This role is central to the BVCA’s activities and on a day-to-day basis you will need to work with the Membership, Commercial, Marketing, Events, and Training teams and with senior internal and external professionals. An Existing and New Membership Manager will report to you.

Policy Manager


This full-time permanent role will provide the successful applicant with a fantastic opportunity to build a detailed understanding of the private equity and venture capital industry, and to represent its interests to political and regulatory stakeholders, particularly following Brexit.

Experience working in the financial services industry is essential (three years plus); familiarity with a regulated industry is needed given the level of detail a successful applicant will have to deal with. A legal, accounting or technical policy background would be ideal for this role. Furthermore, a willingness and ability to learn quickly is key, as is the skill of managing projects the BVCA Regulatory Committee is working on.
